Aspiration pneumonia

Aspiration pneumonia is a disease in which food or saliva swallowed through the mouth mistakenly enter the bronchi or lungs instead of the trachea, causing pneumonia.
It often occurs in elderly people, people with dementia, people with dysphagia, and bedridden people.In addition, to prevent aspiration, it is important to take measures such as improving the form of meals, swallowing rehabilitation, and assessing the risk of aspiration and taking countermeasures.
